Kea Electronics is a northern California distributor of electro-mechanical and passive components that was formed in March, 1973. Kea has always been focused on OEM customers, and pride's itself on working hand in hand with their customer’s engineers to provide alternate sourcing or new design solutions.

Kea Electronics came to Mectronic.net seeking assistance to build a web presence on a limited budget. They wanted to emphasize technical data for their product lines, geared to the engineers at their focused accounts.

Mectronic created a simple but functional website design for Kea Electronics at minimal cost. The site incorporates the standards for distributor sites, such as a manufacturer and product line card. We added search functions on their home page to find data sheets and reference data by product and manufacturer. We also incorporated a Data Sheet Menu page, with links to both pop-up summary data by product groups, and downloadable PDF file catalog pages and data sheets for detailed information. A what's new area, contact us link, about us information and a site map were all included in the design.

Although the site is simple, the key to it for Kea Electronics is that it established them on the internet with useful data, providing technical and product information to their customers, a way to capture inquiries, and create a web presence. Mectronic did this in a matter of days for a very modest budget.
