Objective: B&K Precision, a manufacturer of electronic test instruments, wanted to increase brand recognition, attract new customers and gain market share against its much larger competitors to increase sales while optimizing its marketing budget.

Solutions: Mectronic.net created the ultimate solution for Search Engine Optimization (SEO) for B&K Precision. First, not only were keyword searches optimized for B&K's products on search engines like Google and Yahoo, but first page Google listing results were obtained on keyword searches for B&K's competitors' products. This significantly increased website traffic and new lead generation. Secondly, the searches for competitors' products led into Mectronic.net's cross reference solution for B&K, which offered linked to datasheets and comments on any product differences. Next, these leads for competitors' parts could link through to stocking B&K's distributors. From there they could request a quote or sample, or buy directly from the distributor at the listed phone number for each stocked item

In both the U.S. and Japan, Idec wanted to add distributor inventory searches to their websites to speed sales through their valued channel partners. They wanted two separate database applications, one in English for the U.S. market and distributors and another totally in Japanese for the market and their distributors in Japan. They also wanted modifications so data could harmonize with their Oracle databases.
