Bell Electrical Supply is a broad line electrical distributor located in Northern California and has for over 50 years supplied local manufacturers, end-users and electrical and mechanical contractors. More recently, Bell Electrical acquired Industrial Control Components (ICC), a distributor who for 17 years specialized in power distribution and control products for OEMs, local manufacturers and end-users.

Neither business had much of a website or presence on the Internet. Mectronic.net was approached to first create a low cost website presence for ICC, provide a website design that included a line card, links to suppliers and contact information (www.icc-control.com) . Mectronic.net also submitted the new site to key search engines like AOL and MSN (with the expert help of its wholly owned sister website, www.websitepromoteonline.com), and Industrial Control Components began to get many leads to its new website from the internet, often ranking in the top 10 for keyword phrases on the search engines. The new website also featured 5 key suppliers of ICC's on their home page, and this dedicated promotion of their key suppliers helped ICC to utilize available distributor co-op advertising funds. The combination of new business and co-op funds created an immediate return on investment for their new website.

With the success of ICC, Bell Electrical asked Mectronic.net to redesign their own website. (www.bell-electrical.com) They wanted a similar concept and design to ICC, to create a common look and feel and also to get similar results and co-op funds. Bell and ICC also elected to put Mectronic's hosted application for Distributor Inventory Search on both sites to increase user functionality and sales. The search application brought with it on-line processes for RFQ, emails and Purchase Orders for both companies.
