Amarillo Electric Specialists began 20 years ago in Texas, Oklahoma and Kansas. It is a growing Texas based automation controls distributor focused on the food and beverage markets. They have a line card of a few key industrial automation lines like Omron and Teco Westinghouse.

Amarillo had no website at all, but had heard of Mectronic.net and our Distributor Inventory Search application. They came to Mectronic.net seeking help to build an on-line presence with a functional site of modest design and cost that would but them on the map in cyberspace and open new doors of sales opportunities.

Mectronic.net created a simple but functional website for Amarillo, and created links back to their key suppliers for additional information for their website visitors. Amarillo's website also included a simple inventory search function right on the side bar of their home page. This required no technical or I.T. know-how or requirements on Amarillo's part, since this was a hosted application by Mectronic.net, the only requirement was a website and the ability to send an email with an inventory list attached to upload into Mectronic's servers. Mectronic does the rest.

Once the site was launched, Mectronic also submitted the site to key search engines to help promote it on the internet for keywords that would bring appropriate and targeted new business to Amarillo Electrical Specialists.

The results have been extremely positive in a very short amount of time for Amarillo and their website. They not only have an internet presence now, but with the new business and sales, they have made a minimum 6 times return on their investment in a few months. Because Amarillo had a searchable inventory function on their website, they were able to sell off dead inventory off their shelves that was freezing critical capital for their business.
